Sam Black Church (also known as SBC) was a Boston hardcore band that played from 1988 to 2000. It was named after the West Virginia community of Sam Black Church. == History == Sam Black Church were known for their energetic live performances. They played a frenetic blend of hardcore, metal, and thrash and shared bills with bands as diverse as Bad Brains, Clutch, Motörhead, Cro-Mags, Nothingface, Stuck Mojo, and Helmet.
